Crofting Services

The Commission has 58 staff.  60% work within our Crofting Services and Occupancy Teams. 

The Occupancy Team (10% of our staff) work with communities and key partners, identifying and targeting Commission action to increase the contribution crofting makes to rural communities and to National Outcomes. 

Our Crofting Services Teams (50% of our staff) cover different geographic areas and deal with the day today regulatory work that stems from administering the crofting regulation.

6% of staff work at the Farm and a further 15% are involved in running the Croft Housing Grant Scheme and the transfer of grants from the Commission to Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspections Directorate (SGRPID) and Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO). 

The remaining staff 19% are deployed in supporting these teams.
